Music beckons us to connect authentically with others, to communicate feelings that transcend words.
Musicians must integrate a wide range of technical, musical, and mental skills: we seek the most natural way to play our instruments, without excess tension; we strive to project sincere sentiment, without affectation; and we must stay centered in the present, without distraction. Working to synthesize these elements as both artist and teacher has been the focus of my professional life.
